Hello from snowy Pemberton & Whistler! ❄️

December has officially arrived, which means two things:
1️⃣ Everyone suddenly becomes a professional weather forecaster (“It’s dumping on the Peak, I swear!”)
2️⃣ The Sea to Sky turns into the North Pole… if Santa wore Gore-Tex and lined up at Mount Currie Coffee.
Here’s what’s happening this month, plus a quick glance at our local real estate vibe.
🎄 What’s On in December – Local Favourites
✨ Whistler Holiday Market – Dec 14–15
The Meadows transforms into a fairy-lit shopping village with local artisans, baked treats, and at least three people you haven’t seen since summer.
⛷️ Whistler Blackcomb: Fire & Ice Show Returns – Sundays
Backflips, fire, music… the whole “Did my kid just say they want to be a pro skier now?” experience.
🎅 Pemberton Winterfest – Dec 21
Think bonfires, music, local food, and the entire valley showing up in matching toques.
🐶 PAWS Holiday Fundraisers
Meet puppies, support rescues, try not to adopt five. Difficult but noble.
❄️ Sleigh Rides at North Arm Farm
Yes, it’s as cute as it sounds.
🏡 Sea to Sky Real Estate Snapshot (November → December)

Whistler:
November stayed steady with 45 sales, almost identical to October. Condos were the star of the show with a 64% jump, while single-family homes held at six sales and townhomes at nine. Inventory crept up to 297 listings, giving buyers more choice as we slide into winter.
Translation: More options, fewer bidding-war-induced stress sweats.
Pemberton:
A quieter month with just two sales, but inventory held stable at 77 homes. Single-family homes picked up strength with quicker days-on-market — 19 days, down from 83 in October.
Translation: Buyers, this is your “don’t sleep on it” moment.
Big Picture:
Interest rates held at 2.25%, and winter travel trends point to more stay-close-to-home Canadians — which often means more Whistler/Pemberton visitors… and more curious future buyers.
