The Whistler Walk Safe Program is looking for volunteers to help this Saturday, January 21st from 11am-3pm at the Whistler Public Library.

Volunteers will be assembling reflectors for pedestrians. The Walk Safe program was created by the RCMP hoping to creating a behavioral change among residents and guests, thereby ensuring pedestrian safety on Whistler roads in hopes of eliminating serious and fatal accidents between vehicles and pedestrians in Whistler.

The program began with educational advertisements on a local level. Funding has been secured for reflectors to be distributed to pedestrians in the community free of charge. These reflectors require some assembly prior to distribution, our hope is to gather community volunteers to come together to complete this task.
