Participation Clinic Grants
Who can qualify?

Grants are available to any current HCBC member club that is organizing and runnig the clinic.
- Clinics organized by individual HCBC members or business members do not qualify
Grant amounts
- $250.00 - $500.00 per clinic (two clinics per calendar year per club maximum) until funding is exhausted
- Grant amounts will be based on geographic location with clubs in more remote locations receiving up to the maximum $500.00 per clinic and clubs in Zone 3,4 or 5 will be eligible to receive $250.00 per clinic.
Clinic Scope
- Clinics should be primarily focused on riders that are at the entry level of competition (BC Heritage, BC Summer Games, General Performance or EC Bronze) in any discipline.
- Clinics organized for Recreational Riders also qualify
- Grants may not be used for competitions
- Clinics should be open to all youth and adult riders or participants. Clinics that are specific to youth will also qualify. Clinics can be open to auditors if the club chooses this option.
- Clinics should be presented to improve participants riding ability or competition readiness. "Training" or "horse training" clinics will not qualify
- Clinicians should be certified coaches, instructors or clinicians approved by HCBC
- Grant money can be used to fund Clinician fees, clinician travel, arena fees or to subsidize registration costs
- Participants must be HCBC members
Application Process
Applications from HCBC members clubs will be accepted throughout the year. Once approved HCBC will notify the club contact of the amount of the grant to be given. HCBC will send a check for the approved amount once the club returns the reporting form, reciepts and photos (jpeg format)
Reporting
Clubs having received Clinic grants will be required to fill out a report form and submit it to HCBC after the clinic. This report form is required for release of the funds. The report will supply HCBC with the number of participants age and gender, specific names and birthdates will NOT be required.
The Fine Print
HCBC reserves the right to withhold grant money applied for should the organizing club not return a report form and receipts in a timely manner. HCBC reserves the right to refuse funding for any grant application.
