The theme for this weekend's Drop-In Horsemanship session is:

We'll talk about:

  • Motivators - what are they, how do we use them?
  • Motivating different types of horses - the "lazy", the "crazy" and the "it's all a little hazy" horses
  • How to better read your horse and understand how to get him to do what you want and need, without fear or resentment

The format at the Sunday Drop-In Horsemanship session is the same each week; I introduce a topic, demonstrate a concept or suggest a new horsemanship challenge for you and your horse. And then you get to it! I'll be there, working with my horses on the same topic, able to help you out if you get stuck or have questions. The weekly drop-in sessions are an informal, supportive place for you and your horse to gain good horsemanship groundwork skills while increasing your leadership and knowledge.

So come on out and join me on Sunday from 1:30 - 3:30 pm in the covered arena at  Rojo Pez Ranch in the Upper Squamish Valley. Our facility is a flat and easy drive from Squamish and the complimentary hot apple cider will be ready when you arrive. All participants must RSVP. Proof of current Horse Council membership is required for everyone and the fee for the two hour session is only $25. Boarders at Rojo Pez can attend each week for FREE!
