Agricultural Advisory Committee (AAC)

Call for Volunteers

Applications are being accepted from persons interested in serving on the SLRD Electoral Area C Agricultural Advisory Committee.  There are several vacancies to be filled.  Applicants should meet the following minimum qualifications:

·       be a land owner and/or permanent resident of Electoral Area C or Pemberton;

·       be from the farming and ranching community;

·       possess a clear understanding and knowledge of topics affecting agricultural land;

·       have an interest in preserving the viability of farming in the Pemberton Valley and surrounding area;

·       be available to commit to monthly meetings for a two year term.

If you meet the above criteria and would like to volunteer to serve on the AAC please obtain an application from the SLRD office at 1350 Aster Street, Pemberton, BC or fill out an application on the SLRD Web site at www.slrd.bc.ca.  Applicants must apply before 4:30 pm, Friday, March 10, 2006.
