Place: Peachland Riding Club - 5380 Princeton Ave., Peachland (note: location address only). Turn uphill at the lights in Peachland, onto Princeton Ave., and travel 4.7 km. The Club is on the right, across from the Municipal Yardworks.
Phase One: 5 - 8 km Speed and Orienteering ride
Phase Two: Control of paces
Phase Three: Cross Country Trails with obstacles
Our TREK Training Competition introduces riders to the 3 phases of CanTREK. There will be judging, scoring, and awards to 6th place. Help and advice will be provided in all three phases to provide riders with a learning experience.
CanTREK is a new competition in the province so the day will be as much a learning experience for judges, scorers, and volunteers as it will be for riders. For this reason, entries are limited to 16 riders. All registered riders will receive a package about the day's activities as well as a waiver form. For everyone's safety, horses must be familiar with back country hacking and must be conditioned to do a 5 km. ride. ASTM industry-standard helmet and boots with a heel are mandatory.
To make this day a success for everyone, volunteers are essential!! We are asking every registered rider to please bring one volunteer. A $10 cash rebate off the entry fee will be given to the rider when the volunteer registers. An extra $5 will be given for a second volunteer.
Entry fees: Peachland Riding Club members - $55.
Non-members - $65.
