Genworth has just announced an increase in the maximum loan amounts for certain specialty programs (including the Alt A, Business-for-self program).

This is fantastic news for your Business-for-Self clients who have excellent credit but, due to write-offs, can’t show enough “net” income to qualify for the mortgage.  Genworth will allow clients in this situation -- who can show proof of self-employment for the last 3 years, and have at least 10% down payment from their own resources -- to qualify for a mortgage up to $700,000.  There are certain conditions to this program so if you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to call or e-mail us.
